Time Management at end of semester

Page history last edited by Brad F 9 years, 5 months ago

FOUR strategies:

  • mentally multi-task, esp. for annotated bib responses. Take strategic notes as you read (use check-lists).

  • commit to disciplined TIME blocks, not page count, so long as you're working w/o distraction. If you come up short on page count, re-block future schedule. Another advantage to working time blocks is that, not often but sometimes, you will produce more than minimum goal. Two possible blocking methods:
    • map out work sessions (for all courses/responsibilities), then reward met goals.
    • OR, map out down-time, and plan how to earn them in advance (don't work under down-time debt/catch-up).

  • In final semester stretch, make inessential social/leisure sacrifices

  • go back to early-semester in-class WRITING HABITS reflection... look to those variables that might need changing.
