Choose 2:

  • Where's the best place to get food in the whole San Diego area, what makes it the best, and what's the first thing to try?
  • What's the best and worst thing that's happened or that you experienced of this new semester so far?
  • What's the best "hidden secret" about the region here - something you do, a place you know go or escape to - describe it and what makes it valuable to you.
  • Think about things that interest you, or that you find yourself caring about, in your life at this moment. List some things you like doing, thinking about, exploring/investigating/reading up on, talking about, spending time on/with,

Choose 1:

  • Think about some issues that are important to you and impacting your life directly right now. These issues might be cultural, social, familiar/fraternal, economic, political, professional, bodily, environmental, legal, geographical, artistic, philosophical, etc. Create a short list of such issues.
    • From the list of issue that you mention, select two to expand on, discuss, share questions/worries, explain its impact/effect, its relative importance.
  • Think about some issues that are important to you personally but that perhaps are larger issues that impact or relate to others, not just yourself. Again, these issues might be cultural, social, familiar/fraternal, economic, political, professional, bodily, environmental, geographical, legal, artistic, philosophical, etc. Create a short list of such issues.
    • Choose one issue from your list and tell me why you're interested, what drew you to the issue or triggered an interest, what your involvement/relationship to the issue is, how you keep yourself informed or knowledgeable about the issue, what more do you want to know about the issue.
